|Quality Of Life|
JLCC is a catalyst for creating and enriching the quality of life in Collin County by producing social, economic, psychological and spiritual programs that foster a sense of self-esteem and personal responsibility in order that individuals, families and communities are strengthened.
Done In A Day
Done In A Day (DIAD) provides volunteer support for community projects that can be accomplished in a one-time evening or weekend setting. Volunteers provide hands-on assistance (excluding soliciting, telemarketing, fundraising, or enabling fundraising) to nonprofit organizations in Collin County in need of volunteer assistance. Through this project JLCC supports a wide range of community services. Submit an application for DIAD assistance.
Emergency Response Corps
Partnering with Collin County Homeland Security, the JLCC Emergency Response Corp assists with Disaster Management at the County level: Donations Management, and Personal Preparedness. This committee works with other area agencies to prepare our community for effective response to disasters.
Community Training and FacilitationJLCC provides experienced, professionally-trained facilitators. A community organization may want to use a facilitator to explore a new topic with the assistance of a neutral party. This environment also allows the organization’s leader to become a participant in the process. Meeting examples include board retreats, task force, event planning, or conflict resolution meetings. Additionally, JLCC provides Nonprofit Excellence Workshops to community agencies. JLCC offers informative, thought-provoking workshops at no charge to community agencies on topics such as Board Development, Marketing, Volunteer Recruitment and Retention, and Donor Management.
