The Junior League of Collin County recognizes individual volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and business volunteer programs that make important contributions and assist the residents of Collin County, Texas. Volunteers make Collin County stronger, more vibrant, and improve the community. We ask you to partner with the Junior League of Collin County to celebrate volunteerism by nominating those making a difference in our community.
See below for a complete list of Excellence in Volunteer Service Award categories to choose an award that best represents the impact your nominee has on the community they serve. The application must be submitted no later than Friday, March 1, 2019 for your nominee to be considered for an award.
The winners will be announced at the Excellence in Volunteer Service Awards Luncheon on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Aristide McKinney in McKinney, Texas. Community leaders and volunteers will be present to share in the celebration of these volunteers’ contributions to the community.
Tickets will be available for purchase online at www.jlcollincounty.org beginning February 2019.

NOMINEE CATEGORY AND AWARD TYPE
Individuals must be nominated by a nonprofit, school, civic, or faith organization. Please note that volunteer work from the 2018 calendar year should be used for the basis of the below nominee information. To ensure every organization has an opportunity to be recognized, only one nomination may be submitted by an organization for each category. Junior League of Collin County members that volunteer for a nonprofit agency as their JLCC placement are not eligible for nomination. The nominee must be present to win.
Collin County Volunteer of the Year
This award celebrates an adult individual whose extraordinary hands-on volunteer service strengthens the Collin County community. The nominee’s distinguished service for a local nonprofit exemplifies commitment, passion, and benevolence.
Nonprofit Professional of the Year
This award recognizes a paid employee of a Collin County nonprofit organization who exhibits excellence in their leadership role. This nominee’s love of the nonprofit sector is defined in their leadership that furthers their organization’s mission.
Youth Volunteer of the Year
This award acknowledges a high school student making a difference in Collin County through leadership and volunteerism for the community or local nonprofits. This nominee exhibits a spirit of giving back to the community.
Nonprofit Organization of the Year
This award celebrates a nonprofit organization whose leaders and volunteers do extraordinary work to strengthen Collin County through their dedicated support. The organization must operate in Collin County OR serve Collin County residents.
Community Business Partner of the Year
This award recognizes a large or small business that consistently supports the nonprofit sector and has created strong partnerships through employee involvement and time devoted to giving back to the community. This is a company committed to making their community a priority for their organization.
